Personal Statement: 

Catherine R. Ayers, Ph.D., ABPP is the Section Chief of the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS) La Jolla Outpatient Mental Health Clinics, Associate Professor in the University of California San Diego (UCSD) Department of Psychiatry, and faculty member in the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. Her research is focused on treatment outcomes for hoarding disorder and the neuropsychiatric characterization of hoarding disorder in late life. Her current research project is funded by a CSR&D grant from the Department of Veterans Affairs entitled “Cognitive Rehabilitation and Exposure Therapy for Veterans with Hoarding Disorder.”
