Personal Statement: 

Dr. Rutledge has been a staff psychologist since 2003 at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. He is also a professor in the department of psychiatry at UC San Diego. Dr. Rutledge provides direct patient care to Veterans and conducts research investigating new treatments for Veteran-related health conditions. He’s been an investigator on more than 20 federally funded clinical trials in his career and authored more than 100 articles, books, and book chapters on topics related to physical and mental health.
