Personal Statement:
Dr. Funk has participated in over 500 Investigational Drug Studies. His expertise is in the dispensing, blinding, randomization, and protocol development of investigational drug studies. Dr. Funk was on UCSD’s IRB for over 10 years and has been on the VA IRB since its inception in 2012. He worked in the SP ID clinic for 20 years starting in 1988 and worked on all of the HIV Drug Expanded access protocols.
