Ken Jordan

 


 

Ken Jordan graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Business Administration and has completed numerous management courses both in the federal government and corporate sectors. As a retired U.S. Marine, he is a recipient of the Silver Star, for valor in combat, in addition to two Legions of Merit medals and a variety of other military awards. At Bank of America he received the CEO's Eagle Award for exemplary performance in the mergers and acquisitions environment.

Ken has been inducted into the Athletes Hall of Honor designated as a Distinguished Graduate of Sam Houston State, the highest honor the university can bestow on an alumnus, and has been cited as a "Significant Sig" by the national office of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

He served on the Board of Directors of the United States Olympic Committee; the Editorial Board of the Marine Corps Gazette, a professional magazine; a member, then chairman of the Board of Directors of the Marine Memorial Association in San Francisco, and has been recently designated as an Emeritus Member of the Board; President of the Marine Force Reconnaissance Association; member, then Chairman of the Board of the USO of San Diego, and is presently Co-Chairman of the USO Advisory Council; member of the Board of Governors of the Marine Corps Association in Quantico, VA; was appointed by the United States Senate as a Commissioner on the Veterans Disability Benefits Commission in Washington DC; appointed to the Secretary of the Navy Retiree Advisory Council, also in Washington DC; serves on the Board of Directors of the Veterans Medical Research Foundation in San Diego; and the Board of Directors of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) in Washington DC.

He and his wife Lee Ann live in San Diego, CA.
